My first book - but hopefully not my last!

Mulligan's Island has been described as an 'aussie yarn', but hopefully it will appeal to anyone who has travelled here, or even met an aussie character
My intention is to make the reader laugh, cry and hold their breath as I take you on the ups and downs of Shaun Mulligan's travels as he leaves his beloved island (and bearded companion).
I wanted to create a story with 'real' characters, not incredibly beautiful women, or unbelievably handsome men, just people you may meet, or even know.

I didn't want murder, or espionage to be elements in this book either. Once again, I just wanted situations that maybe anyone (on a weird day) could find themselves in.

Okay, I admit, we don't run across many Shaun Mulligan's in our lives, but they're out there!

And Mc Leod? He is based on a goat who lived with a friend of mine and was very like the one in my book - really.
